"Visiting Enterprises and Expanding Positions" Special Action (Episode 1)
In order to further implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education's Spring 2023 College Graduate Employment Promotion Campaign, the School of Business has launched the "Visit Enterprises and Expand Employment Opportunities" special action for the spring of 2023. The action will adhere to on-site visits and local services and will send batches of people to key industry sectors and key enterprises within and outside the province to expand employment opportunities and promote exchange and cooperation.
In early March, Dean of School of Business, Lynn Lin, Zhang and Program Coordinator of E-Commerce program, Yue, Dai, went to the first stop of the special action, Moon Bay Road, Huihu Building, Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou Area of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone. They visited Suzhou New Door Education Technology Co., Ltd. The programs of E-commerce, Marketing, and Business Enterprise Management are closely related to the job fields, and this visit is in line with the school's strategy to serve the local area, promote resonance and cooperation between the school, local area, and enterprises, and promote integrated development, making a positive contribution to the high-quality development of Suzhou.
The company's contact person, Zhang Wancong, provided a detailed introduction to the company's founding concept, service orientation, software information technology support, education consulting, and other characteristic systems. At the same time, the group from the School of Business was led to visit the practice site and equipment and explained the service content such as technical services and development, technical consulting and communication, and technology transfer and promotion. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in the E-commerce major and joint talent cultivation, among other issues.
The smooth progress of this visit further deepened the mutual understanding between the School of Business and the employers, and strengthened the connection with alumni. It also opened up resources for school-enterprise cooperation and the in-depth integration of production and education, providing new employment channels and opportunities for graduates. Meanwhile, the feedback and expectations of employers on graduates' evaluation provided ideas and directions for optimizing the structure of disciplines, deepening education and teaching reforms, and providing accurate guidance for graduates' employment, which is beneficial for promoting the continuous improvement of the fit between talent cultivation and enterprise demands and achieving full and high-quality employment for graduates.
