“Visiting Enterprises and Expanding Employment Opportunities” (Episode 5)
To fully promote the more comprehensive, higher-quality employment of the 2023 graduates, the School of Business conducted intensive visits to multiple companies and invited high-quality enterprises to campus for communication and interaction, actively expanding the "Visiting Enterprises and Expanding Employment Opportunities" special action. Last month, our school's campus job fair was successfully held in the lobby of Building G. Taking this opportunity, under the leadership of Secretary Peng, Yu, Program Coordinators of the E-Commerce, Marketing, and International Economics and Trade programs, as well as other professors from the School of Business, held a forum with many high-quality enterprises such as Suzhou Huacheng Group Co., Ltd., Suzhou Orange Crane Network Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fengou Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Xuezhongfei Industrial Co., Ltd., to discuss and negotiate school-enterprise cooperation, including joint training, talent demand, and graduate tracking, etc., in order to develop more job opportunities.
Suzhou Huacheng Group Co., Ltd., located in the Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province, is mainly engaged in general equipment manufacturing and is currently dedicated to the automobile sales industry. Mr. Changchun, Liu, the Personnel Manager of the company, introduced the company's current development status, business areas, and talent demands in detail. The two sides deeply discussed how to promote school-enterprise joint cultivation, give full play to the active role of enterprises in the formulation of training programs, and track the situation of graduates.
Suzhou Orange Crane Network Technology Co., Ltd., which is developing in the four dimensions of "network + physical + logistics + service," is a global B2C cross-border e-commerce company. Ms. Ruji, Chen, the Personnel Manager of the company, introduced the company's development situation, core advantages, team distribution, media attention, career development channels, and various benefits to the professors and students of the School of Business. Both sides jointly explored the development trends of business graduates in cross-border trade companies, such as e-commerce, international trade, and marketing.
Shanghai Fengou Information Technology Co., Ltd., located in Changshu City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a leading brand marketing service provider in China. The unit has recruited graduates from our school before, so the relationship between the school and the enterprise is very close. During the forum, Mr. Pengzhou, Cao the Director of Human Resources and Administration, introduced the corporate culture, development vision, talent demands, job requirements, etc. At the same time, it was also expressed that the school's resources can be closely combined with alumni enterprise resources to complement each other, help enterprise development, expand employment and entrepreneurship paths for college students, and achieve school-enterprise co-construction and prosperity.
Xuezhongfei Industrial Co., Ltd., located in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City, belongs to the functional clothing industry and is one of the most influential sports apparel brands with product design and development, supply chain integration, brand marketing, manufacturing, and retail capabilities. During this visiting enterprises and expanding employment opportunities, Chenyu, Xu, professor of the School of Business, liaised with relevant personnel from the company and learned about the company's development situation, talent training needs, and school-enterprise cooperation ideas in detail.
Ke, Liu, the Personnel Manager of Xuezhongfei Industrial Co., Ltd., expressed the hope that the enterprise will enhance school-enterprise cooperation in the future, collaborate with schools to participate in the training of students' professional skills, and absorb more outstanding business graduates to join the enterprise's development. After the forum, the company's human resources department proposed a plan to come to the school for recruitment, providing up to 20 positions, and conducted on-site interviews with graduates, providing practical job-seeking advice.
Professors and students participating in this school-enterprise forum expressed that face-to-face communication with employers can help them understand the expectations of enterprises for graduates and the real market demand for business talents, shorten the process of resume submission, screening, written tests, and interviews, and provide opportunities to directly enter the final interview and communicate with enterprise executives. At the same time, visiting enterprises enabled the School of Business to truly touch the temperature of the employment market, further understand the development trend of the employment market and the current demand for talents, scientifically formulate talent training programs, and provide employment guidance services with real data support. In the future, the School of Business will continue to carry out high-quality enterprise visits and expand employment opportunities, constantly strengthen the integration of teaching and research, solidly promote school-enterprise cooperation, continuously improve the quality of talent training, and assist graduates in obtaining high-quality employment.
